Rise Economy is excited to announce the addition of three seasoned economic justice leaders to our Board of Directors: Monte Jones, President & CEO of Logan Heights Community Development Corporation; Margaret Libby, Founder & CEO of MyPath; and Clemente Mojica, President & CEO of NPHS.

As we enter our fifth decade, we are deepening our work to advance policies to close the racial wealth gap and build a vision for a new economy that centers the needs of Black, Latine/x, Indigenous and other People of Color.”

We’re pleased to introduce Rise Economy’s newest board members and share more about their backgrounds and leadership.

Monte A. Jones is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Logan Heights Community Development Corporation (LHCDC), where he has led the organization since 2006. Under his leadership, LHCDC has been revitalized to advance community-driven strategies focused on economic growth, housing development, and opportunity for residents and small businesses in the Greater Logan Heights neighborhoods. With more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience, Monte is widely respected for his ability to build cross-sector partnerships and translate vision into measurable community impact. His perspective is further informed by service on the boards of California Coast Credit Union and Enterprise Bank, as well as a prior twenty-year career in the United States Navy.

Margaret Libby is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MyPath, a national nonprofit advancing economic mobility for low-income BIPOC youth. Since founding the organization in 2007, she has led pioneering efforts to integrate banking, saving, and credit-building directly into youth employment settings, including the launch of MyPath Savings and MyPath Credit—nationally recognized models now adopted by nonprofits, financial institutions, and public agencies nationwide. Her work centers on youth-led solutions that address structural barriers to financial stability and long-term economic opportunity. Margaret’s leadership extends to national advisory roles with the FDIC’s Committee on Economic Inclusion and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Consumer Advisory Board.

Clemente Mojica is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services (NPHS), with more than sixteen years of experience in housing policy, community revitalization, and affordable housing development. Throughout his career, his work has focused on expanding access to safe, stable housing and advancing community-centered development strategies that strengthen neighborhoods. In addition to his role at NPHS, Clemente serves on the board of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH), supporting regional efforts to advance effective public policy, sustainable financing, and cross-sector collaboration. His experience reflects a long-standing commitment to equitable housing systems and community investment.
