More than 150 people came out to Rise Economy’s Northern California Equitable Futures Awards on Thursday, May 15 at Oeste Bar and Kitchen in downtown Oakland. The event recognizes the individuals and organizations that are working to create a more equitable future for all Californians. This year’s honorees included youth financial empowerment nonprofit MyPath, housing justice leader Nikki A. Beasley, and Rise Economy’s own Kevin Stein, who was recognized for 25 years of fearless advocacy and policy innovation.
